Lawrence School of Motoring is one of the oldest established driving schools in Romford, teaching automatic lessons in the area for over 20 years. As well as longstanding, Lawrence is also one the most recommended instructors in Romford with many generous reviews from pupils past and present. So, whether you're just starting your driving journey, changing instructors or just need a few refresher lessons, Lawrence would be an ideal choice.

When looking for auto driving lessons in Romford you're certainly spoilt for choice - there are simply hundreds of instructors covering the area. But for all that choice, there are many instructors you would want to avoid. It's true that as Approved Driving Instructors (ADI'S) we have all passed the same tests and therefore should offer the same service, but sadly that isn't the case. The horror stories I hear from some pupils, coming from former instructors, range from just baffling to damn right criminal. So, when deciding, please understand NOT ALL INSTRUCTORS ARE THE SAME. So, with that in mind, how do you decide? Well personally I trust reviews - if the majority of former customers have been happy with their service, it's likely you will be too. Fortunately, I've been blessed with wonderful feedback and glowing reviews so if you have a little time, please read through some of them.

Before learning to drive you first need a Provisional Licence - so if you haven't already applied, do so now as you can't start lessons without one - your instructor will ask to see it on your first lesson. Also, you must pass an eyesight test - your instructor will ask you to read a number plate from 20 meters. So, if your eyesight is poor, it may be worth checking for yourself before arranging lessons. 20 meters is about 26 steps for a man and around 33 for a woman. Of course, this can be done wearing glasses or contact lenses.

So whether you're confident or nervous; a fast learner or needing to work at your own pace, it makes no difference. Lawrence understands that everyone is an individual and every lesson is tailored to your pace and needs. In my experience people learn best when lessons are structured so there's a very straightforward plan to each lesson. You will see yourself progress from basic junctions on sideroads to 70mph motorways, with each lesson slightly more challenging than the one before. So if you're ready to learn with a reliable, patient instructor with an exceptional pass rate, contact Lawrence, your first choice for automatic driving lessons in Romford and the surrounding area.
