There are many driving schools in Elm Park, all claiming to be the best school in the area. But as the well-known saying goes, 'self-praise is no praise'. Of course, the only praise (or criticism) worth listening to is from former or current pupils. There are several auto driving instructors in Elm Park with flattering reviews and it's one of these instructors' you want to choose. I'm proud to say that Lawrence School of Motoring has received many generous reviews over many years and if you have time to read through some of them, it could help you decide. But please read reviews from other schools too - learning to drive is a very important decision and finding a good instructor is essential. With a good instructor, you will need fewer lessons, have a better chance of passing first time and most importantly, be a better, safer driver after you pass.

NOT ALL DRIVING INSTRUCTORS ARE THE SAME

Another important factor when choosing auto driving lessons in Elm Park is price. Of course, no one wants to pay more than they need to for anything but when it comes to driving lessons, you certainly get what you pay for. If looking for cheap driving lessons in Elm Park, you're likely to receive an inferior service. When an instructor is cheaper than anyone else, they're cheap for a reason - no one recommends them and the only way of attracting work is by undercutting everyone else. In my experience, cheap driving lessons usually work out very expensive as you will learn very little and likely move instructors. I teach new pupils' coming from poor instructors all the time. Driving is a life skill that will stay with you forever, please choose an instructor known to be good, not just cheap, it will be a worthwhile investment for many years to come.

NOT ALL DRIVING INSTRUCTORS ARE THE SAME

No badge, Pink Badge, Green Badge. If your driving instructor isn't displaying a pink triangular or green octagonal badge in their windscreen, they're not a DVSA Driving Instructor and it's illegal for them to teach for money. These 'instructors' have no formal training and no DBS checks so you could be sitting next to someone with a serious criminal record. Always be sure your instructor is displaying a badge.

If your instructor has a pink badge they're only partly trained. These instructors are DVSA approved and can legally charge for lessons. They can be very good as they're new and enthusiastic but they're still training and obviously lack experience.

Only fully qualified Approved Driving Instructors (ADI's) will have a green badge and be best suited to teaching you. As a fully qualified instructor for over 20 years, I can certainly bring heaps of experience to your lessons having taught so many students with so many different abilities.
